My years in Burgundy shaped me: harvesting in Gevrey-Chambertin, winters in the cellars of Meursault, days of learning at the Lycée Viticole de Beaune.
Graduated as an oenologist, I wanted to create my own house: OTIUM.
In ancient Rome, otium meant time for oneself – reflection, pleasure – the opposite of negotium, the world of business.
For me, that is exactly what wine should be: a pause, a shared moment, an emotion we take the time to savour.
OTIUM is also the warmth of a tasting with friends in a vaulted cellar, laughter echoing, a glass being passed, and the simple joy of gathering around a great wine.
Each bottle of OTIUM carries this idea: offering, in the time of a glass, a suspended moment.
Grown on limestone soil halfway up the slope and bathed in sunlight, Vignes Franches offers generosity and power, carried by a saline freshness. A distinguished, age-worthy Beaune that can either rest patiently or benefit from decanting before serving.
From the deeper clay soils at the foot of the slope, this legendary terroir borders the historic center of Beaune. A perfectly rounded Pinot Noir — elegant and refined — lifted by the vibrant tension characteristic of the 2021 vintage. A beautiful wine for fine dining.
Freshness, delicacy, precision — this Savigny Premier Cru offers a delightful crunch of red berries. The Marconnets terroir lends it both liveliness and elegance.
An archetypal Beaune, showcasing the pedigree of the village’s finest Premier Crus. The elegant, well-integrated ageing highlights the character of this terroir, producing a wine that is already approachable yet built to age gracefully for many years.

The story begins in 2020, as so often happens, among friends sharing a glass of wine. From this moment of friendship arose the desire to create a wine trading house that reflects this very instant. A desire inspired by values that are dear to me: sharing, camaraderie, and pleasure.
